Threepipe co-founder Eddie May is to leave his role as joint managing director at the end of April, according to the agency.

May, who co-founded Threepipe in 2004 with Jim Hawker, before merging it with Farhad Koodoruth’s Blowfish Digital in 2013, has decided to step down from day to day involvement with the agency.

Commenting on the move, Eddie said: “It’s been amazing to be part of the growth of this business; from two blokes in a kitchen to almost sixty people today, extending our services, with some fantastic people and clients. Threepipe’s digital led approach is very well set for more success in the future, but eleven years is a decent stint and it feels like the right time for me to step aside and find a new challenge.

“I’d like to give a big thanks to Jim, Farhad and all the other staff, clients and suppliers I’ve worked with over the years for all of their support. I have no immediate plans on what’s next, but I’m looking forward to exploring some new challenges and enjoying a bit of time with my young family.”

Hawker added: “I have worked with Eddie in and out of Threepipe for 15 years now and it will be odd not seeing Eddie across the office. Eddie has been a massive factor in the successful growing and running of the agency and overseeing our progression into wider marketing channels. We wish Eddie lots of future success and we will miss him around the place.”
