The EFL has opened a tender process for organisations interested in becoming the official charity partner from the start of the 2018/19 campaign.
The EFL’s current partnership with Prostate Cancer UK reaches millions of football supporters through targeted engagement activity, raising awareness of the disease which now affects one in eight men in the UK.
To date, the partnership with the EFL has raised over £2m through fundraising, supporting research to find better ways of diagnosing and treating prostate cancer.
The EFL said it is looking for a charity partner for a minimum of two seasons and a maximum of three from 2018/19 onwards, and the partnership “must continue to deliver the same high standards of success, while also supporting the strategic objectives and values of the EFL, the EFL Trust and all 72 EFL clubs.”
To be considered, applications must come from registered charities with a UK-wide reach who can demonstrate how the partnership will be used to champion a cause that offers lasting and sustainable impact in the UK. Charities have until the 8th December to submit their application.
