Eleven Sports has agreed a deal with eSports company Gfinity to secure rights to the first edition of the Gfinity Elite Series, being staged at the Gfinity Esports Arena in London, with its live offering kicking off with week three, this past weekend.
Eleven Sports will show live and exclusive coverage of the premium action, along with preview and review shows, behind the scenes footage, documentary and magazine content and industry interviews and features.
The agreement will see the broadcaster provide the video gaming competition with global coverage across all seven of its markets, which include Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Singapore, Taiwan and the USA.
The competition comprises eight teams competing in a seven-week regular season which will be followed by a series-ending knockout phase.
