Emirates Extends Dubai Classic Deal

Emirates, the international airline, has underlined its commitment to promoting sports on a regional and global stage by extending its deal to sponsor the Omega Dubai Desert Classic golf tournament.

The $2.5m tournament starts on the 1st of February and lasts for a week. Emirates has sponsored the tournament as the Official airline since 1989.

Tom Watson, European number one Lee Westwood and defending champion Rory McIlroy lead the line-up for this year’s event.

Emirates is also an official partner to the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and also sponsors 15 premier golf tournaments around the world.
