The Football Association (FA) has penned a four-year extension of its free-to-air (FTA) broadcast deal with ITV, covering England Lionesses fixtures from 2025 to 2029.
The partnership includes coverage of all England women’s national team qualifying matches for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 and the UEFA Women’s Euro 2029 competitions, as well as Nations League games and international friendlies.
Although further details of the agreement have not been disclosed, the FA says the renewal is worth a ‘record’ fee.
The commercial network first partnered with the FA to provide England Lionesses coverage across its platforms in 2021, with that contract set to run until 2025.
ITV also holds broadcast rights for the England men’s national team, having signed a renewal with the FA earlier this year including Euro 2028 qualifiers, in addition to Nations league matches and international friendlies until June 2028.
“We are delighted to continue our relationship with The FA and the England Women’s National Team,” said Niall Sloane, Director of Sport at ITV.
“This is an exciting time for the Lionesses’ and we are proud to show our support by showcasing the matches free to air on ITV.”
James Gray, Commercial Director at the FA, added, “ITV have given the Lionesses brilliant backing since 2021, overseeing a truly historic period for the team and the whole of the women’s game.
“This record deal shows our shared commitment to grow the team’s profile even further and give them the best possible platform to continue to inspire the nation.”
