England Netball has agreed a four-year deal with Gilbert, whose netball arm will become the official ball supplier to the sport’s national governing body from elite to grassroots.
Gilbert balls are already used by the International Netball Federation for tournaments such as the Netball World Cup, Australia and New Zealand’s ANZ Championship and the Netball Superleague in England and Wales.
England Netball chief executive Jo Adams, said: “We are delighted to be working with Gilbert as our official ball and equipment supplier for the next four years, they are a fantastic brand to partner with in netball.
“We have many exciting plans for the sponsorship including the launch of the 2015 Netball Superleague, and their support of the England team on their journey to the Netball World Cup 2015.”
Sasha Corbin, England mid-courter commented: “With a World Cup on the horizon in 2015 it is vitally important that England train and play with the best balls available.
“We are thrilled that Gilbert have become our official partner and look forward to using their expertise in making the team even more successful on court.”
