The Rugby Football Union has announced that it is to veer away from tradition by taking an England international match against Argentina to Manchester’s Old Trafford Stadium later this year.
Scheduled for 6th June , the match will mark the first England game played at the Manchester United’s stadium in 12 years.
With Twickenham the habitual home of England matches, the move to Manchester for the international match is aimed at helping increase interest in the region.
The game will feature some of the more low-profile players, as it is being played while the British & Irish Lions, including some of England’s top players, will be in South Africa.
