England Rugby has extended its service agreement with ticketing provider Tixserve.
The new agreement has seen the introduction of a digital transformation plan with England stating that a ‘fan first approach’ will be prioritised.
The partnership, which began in 2019, has seen England Rugby deliver two million digital tickets for fans visiting Twickenham, England’s 82,000 capacity stadium.
The Tixserve platform also allows England Rugby to obtain insights into ticket holders as well as having the function of tailored messaging opportunities.
Steve Kitcher, Head of Ticketing at the RFU, said, “Tixserve has become an integral part of not only the supporters’ match-day experience but also our own digital and data strategy internally. The insight on whose attending matches is invaluable to us and our sponsors. Also of equal importance is the feedback we get from Twickenham Stadium app users, which has been extremely positive, so we know our supporters are pleased with it too.”
Patrick Kirby, Managing Director of Tixserve, added, “England Rugby is one of the most prestigious brands in sport and in 2019 pioneered the digital transformation of ticketing in conjunction with Tixserve.
“We are immensely proud of our collaborative business relationship with the RFU that has resulted in the evolution of our platform to be a market-leader in the provision of proven and scalable mobile distribution and engagement services.”
