FanCraze, a cricket-focused NFT platform, has entered the UK cricket market by agreeing twelve partnerships with English and Welsh first-class counties.
Mumbai-based FanCraze has secured digital collectible agreements with Lancashire Cricket, Middlesex, Somerset, Glamorgan, Sussex, Derbyshire, Durham, Gloucestershire, Kent, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Worcestershire. Each of the counties are making their first moves into the NFT space.
Fans will have the opportunity to purchase digital collectibles in the form of moments and player cards, trade their purchases, play strategy games within the platform, and win prizes in the form of real-life experiences.
FanCraze, which was only founded in 2021, will also benefit from stadium branding at matches involving the clubs and hospitality and ticketing rights which will be used as part of rewards and prizes for users on its platform.
UK-based sports marketing consultant Khan Consulting, led by Omar Khan, supported FanCraze with securing the deals.
Anshum Bhambri, CEO of FanCraze, commented,“We are excited to build a new paradigm of engagement between these storied institutions and their fans by leveraging digital assets, gamification, and money-can’t-buy experiences.”
The deals add to FanCraze’s growing portfolio of partnerships within the sport. It already has agreements in place with the International Cricket Council (ICC), Cricket West Indies, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), South Africa’s SA20 league and the Indian Premier League’s Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants.
FanCraze has also added a number of partnerships with individual cricket stars to its ever-growing portfolio which is headlined by Indian batsman Virat Kohli.
