Former England and Chelsea footballer Eni Aluko has partnered with British telecommunications and internet service provider Three to launch a new initiative aimed at celebrating women in sport.

The We See You Network (WSYN) will leverage the power of Three’s network and its sponsorship of Premier League football club Chelsea FC to ‘to encourage change and ensure women in sport are seen, recognised and rewarded.’

The aim of the platform is to positively impact women who are involved in all aspects of the game, whether that is playing or coaching, or those who work across the wider sports industry.

The initiative aims to build a network of recognition and support for women in sport through a series of experiences that will further their personal development.

Aluko joins Emma Hayes and the stars of the Chelsea FC Women’s Team as a figurehead of the programme.

Qualified lawyer, Aluko followed her footballing career to become a successful executive, broadcaster, author, philanthropist and an entrepreneur.

On launching WSYN, she said, “I have always been very passionate about personal development and pursuing wider interests in the sports industry.  It’s a privilege to be joining Three as part of this exciting initiative and being able to mentor others who share similar ambitions.

“I spent the most memorable years of my career at Chelsea FC so I’m excited to be part of such an important initiative that Three and the club are driving forward.”

James Sutton, Head of Sponsorship and Brand Activation at Three UK, added, “We’re very proud to launch the WSYN, in partnership with Chelsea. As a brand we are incredibly lucky to be associated with such a trailblazing women’s football team and have access to such a vast amount of talent within the club.

“Eni is not just a club legend, she is one of the most inspiring women in sport.  We’re delighted to be working with her and providing others with benefit of Eni’s vast experience in business.”
