The London leg of the Vitality World Triathlon Series has announced that Epson has come on board as the official timing partner of the 2015 event.
Epson, who launched the Runsense SF-810 sports monitor last year, expands its sports portfolio that also includes the Mercedes F1 team and Manchester United.
The Vitality World Triathlon London is now in its sixth year and will welcome over 5,000 participants of all abilities, as well as the world’s best triathletes and paratriathletes, to take part in the fifth stop of the ITU World Triathlon Series.
Annika Fagerstrom, consumer director at Epson UK, said: “As a company we are proud of our rich heritage in sport. This stems from the world’s first printing timer created for the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games, to our more recent partnerships with Manchester United Football Club and our global partnership with the 2014 world champion Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One team.
“As a manufacturer of compact, high precision products, we understand the importance of accuracy and performance and helping athletes achieve their goals. We are delighted to be partnering with Vitality World Triathlon London this year”
Marisol Casado, president of the ITU, commented: “We look forward to welcoming and working with Epson at the London leg of the World Triathlon Series 2015. The company’s drive for excellence in performance translates well to the focus and determination needed to compete in triathlon.”
The Vitality World Triathlon London, organised by British Triathlon and Lagardère Unlimited Events UK, is delivered in partnership with UK Sport, through its National Lottery funded Gold Event Series, London & Partners, Royal Parks and the Mayor of London.
