ESPN To Broadcast British Lionhearts

British Lionhearts, the World Series of Boxing (WSB) franchise, has agreed a deal with ESPN which will see the broadcaster provide live coverage of a selection of Lionhearts fixtures. 

As part of the deal, ESPN’s coverage of the Lionshearts will only apply to home fixtures during the group stages of the 2013 competition. The financial details of the agreement were not released. 

The WSB had announced the addition of the British franchise to the forthcoming season of the competition earlier this month. The WSB had previously operated on a city-based franchise system but have switched to a format that includes national teams. The British Lionhearts will be joined in their group by Dolce & Gabbana Italia Thunder, German Eagles, Ukraine Otamans, Astana Arlans Kazakhstan and USA Knockouts.
