ESPN Launches New Website
Sport broadcaster ESPN has launched ESPN.co.uk, the company’s new website created to serve UK fans with the latest sport news.
The website is part of ESPN’s multi-platform approach and will also feature video and audio, fantasy sports and photos.
ESPN.co.uk will deliver coverage of the top sports stories and developments from across the UK and around the globe.
Additionally, ESPN.co.uk will provide fans access to deeper coverage of their favourite sports via ESPN’s sport-specific sites, including ESPNcricinfo.com, ESPNsoccernet.com, ESPNscrum.com, the newly re-launched ESPNF1.com and ESPN.com.
The launch builds upon ESPN’s digital growth in the UK in 2009. The company’s four sport-specific sites saw more than 50% growth in unique users and nearly 75% growth in total minutes spent by UK users (58% growth in unique users worldwide in 2009).
