ESPN Launches Premier League App
Sports broadcaster ESPN is launching a mobile phone application that provides video footage of every Premier League goal – within minutes of the ball crossing the line.
The application named ESPN Goals will offer news and live scores free, with the complete video service available at £3.99 a month or £29.99 for the season.
??ESPN holds the UK mobile highlights rights for all the Premier League games for the next three years and claims that users can see goals within minutes – ahead of the online rights currently held by Yahoo.??
However, ESPN can’t deliver the goals between the protected window from 2.45pm to 5.15pm on Saturdays.
??ESPN holds the rights to 23 live Premier League matches this season and the application will be available on the iPhone or Android and through ESPN’s mobile site.
