Sports management company Esportif has announced a joint venture with Australian Komodo Management (KMG) – a move that will see Esportif grow its global rugby representation.
Established in 2011, KMG represents rugby league (NRL) and rugby union (Super Rugby) players, with 70 players and coaches on its books, including numerous high-profile league players across all the Australian NRL teams.
KMG Founder and Owner Daniel O’Loughlin will head up Australian operations together with Queensland-based accredited rugby league and union agent Nash Dawson, as well as an experienced rugby agent who will lead the rugby division.
O’Loughlin described the partnership as a “unique and exciting” opportunity. He said: “Esportif’s global footprint across both rugby league where they already represent high-profile players and union will allow us to have a much bigger support network and to provide a higher level of service to our existing and new clients.”
He added: “The NRL has recently implemented a new accredited agent scheme to help lift the standards of agents working across the game, we believe the time is right to establish ourselves at the forefront of this industry and continue to raise the bar.”
