Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has signed a
three-year deal to become a platinum sponsor and the official airline of Premier
League club Chelsea.

The seven-figure contract, which was negotiated by sponsorship agency the

Stamford Bridge for Barclays’ Premier League, FA Cup and Carling Cup matches as
well as regular features in match day programmes and other Chelsea publications.

Additionally, the partnership will see the Abu Dhabi-based airline and
Chelsea work together on other projects including team tours to the UAE and the
Far East.

The Chelsea deal is just one of several high profile sports sponsorships that
