London Irish have unveiled a new club sponsor ahead of the London Double Header at Twickenham on Saturday, with Etixx set to become the official sports nutrition provider for London Irish Rugby Club for the next three seasons.
The partnership will see the sports nutrition brand provide a wide range of their products to the London Irish first team and Academy squads.
In their first act as sponsor, they asked the team to take on the world’s first ‘Scrum Shop’ – a vending machine that requires users to ‘pay with power’ (pictured above).
As part of the deal, the Etixx logo will appear on the right-hand sleeve of the London Irish first team playing jersey for all Aviva Premiership, LV=Cup and European matches. During London Irish home fixtures at the Madejski Stadium, Etixx will receive widespread in-stadium branding presence on touchline boards and throughout concourse areas as well as adverts on the ground’s big screen.
Formed in 2009, Etixx has been developed with, and is used by, some of the best athletes in the world and the company creates a wide range of sophisticated nutritional products and supplements suited to the needs of all those who choose to be active on a professional, recreational, or amateur sports level.
Etixx also has existing sports partnerships with the Omega Pharma Quick-Step cycling team (soon to become the Etixx Quick-Step cycling team), 2013 Ironman World Championship winner Frederik Van Lierde and French football club Lille Olympique Sporting Club.
