The European Tour has unveiled its tournament schedule for 2008 including a
further expansion into Asia with events in India and Korea for the first time.
The EMAAR-MGF Indian Masters will be played at the Delhi Golf Club from 7-10
February and the Johnnie Walker Classic will be staged at the DLF Golf and
Country Club, New Delhi, from 28th February to 2nd March.
The European Tour undertakes its first venture into Korea with the playing of
the Ballantine’s Championship at Pinx Golf Club, Jeju Island, from 13-16 March.
As part of the schedule, European Tour players will also get a chance to play
on the 2010 Ryder Cup course at the Celtic Manor Wales Open.
The ninth staging of the tournament in Newport is one of a minimum of 50
Order of Merit events in the 2008 season.
Most tournaments retain the same week in the calendar as in 2007 but the
Singapore Masters and Maybank Malaysian Open have swapped dates.
