Eurosport Acquires Delayed Euro 2012 Package

Eurosport has acquired a package of rights for delayed coverage of the upcoming UEFA European Championship, covering all 31 matches at the tournament in Poland and Ukraine, which runs from 8th June to 1st July.

The deal with European football’s governing body will see Eurosport broadcast all matches in standard and high definition on its Eurosport and Eurosport 2 channels in 58 European countries.

The broadcaster will also air the ‘Euro 2012 Show’, a 30-minute daily show featuring reviews and analysis from a panel of pundits that includes Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger and former Liverpool and Inter Milan boss Rafael Benitez.

Meanwhile, Eurosport has also announced that the 2012 French Open – Roland Garros, will be broadcast live, in 3D, via Sky in the UK market.
 
The sports channel will broadcast a Live 3D feed from Centre Court at Roland Garros from Monday May 28th to June 10th and it will be available to UK sports fans, non exclusively, via Sky’s 3D channel.
 
It will be the third consecutive French Open tournament to be produced and available for fans in 3D.
