Eurosport Renews Australian Open Deal

Eurosport has renewed its TV rights deal with Tennis Australia to continue to broadcast live coverage of the Australian Open for a further five years.

The 2012 Australian Open will mark the beginning of the new agreement to carry the Grand Slam to more than 56 countries and 121 million homes across Europe.

The deal will extend the pan-European broadcaster’s support of the tournament to more than two decades.

This year’s Australian Open concluded on Sunday with Novak Djokovic beating Andy Murray in straight sets in the men’s final.
