Andy Anson, the outgoing Chief Executive of the British Olympic Association, has been appointed as the new CEO of Sportscape Group.

Sportscape, which boasts a member community of over 25 million people, was formed in 2022 through the merger of bd-capital-backed SportPursuit and Bridgepoint-backed PrivateSportShop. The company operates across key European markets, including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.

Anson brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as CEO of Kitbag, which was acquired by Fanatics, and as Commercial Director at Manchester United Football Club.

His appointment is expected to drive Sportscape’s next phase of growth in the competitive European sports e-commerce landscape.

Anson expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity, stating, “Sportscape has already established itself as a key player in the European sports e-commerce landscape, and I look forward to working with the team to unlock its next phase of growth.”
