Organisers of Glasgow 2014 have announced that 4,000 additional tickets have been released for the Commonwealth Games netball finals due to growing demand.
The announcement comes after the news that the last day of the competition will now be staged at the SSE Hydro rather than the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) which had a capacity of 4,000.
The ticket prices will range from £50 to £15 with the top eighteen teams in the world set to compete. David Grevemberg, Glasgow 2014 chief executive said: ‘The demand for tickets for Glasgow 2014 has been simply incredible, and we are delighted to be able to offer another chance to be part of making a great moment in sporting history to those who missed out on netball finals tickets earlier in the ticketing programme.’
Grevemberg added: ‘The competition at this summer’s Games is considered the pinnacle of world netball and one not to be missed. Hosting the Finals at the SSE Hydro not only promises to deliver a fantastic atmosphere for the world’s top netball athletes to compete in, it also gives the netball community a further opportunity to secure tickets to witness live world-class sporting action.’
