EY, the globally integrated professional services organisation, has joined the BT Sport Industry Awards 2016 as the official independent adjudicator.
As the independent adjudicator of the BT Sport Industry Awards, EY will oversee each step of the thorough two-stage judging process to ensure a fully audited and transparent procedure. Senior consultants of the firm will attend each shortlist and judging session, playing a practical and integrated role to oversee the entire process.
Each year, steering committees made up of more than 50 carefully selected industry experts review the BT Sport Industry Awards entries to determine which brands, campaigns and organisations make it into the revered Official Shortlist. These entries then go through to the main Judging Panel to make the final decision and select the winner of each category.
Tom Kingsley, director, sport and sponsorship, EY said: “We are delighted to partner with such a prestigious event in the world of sport business and are looking forward to making a real difference by delivering our shared expertise and support to ensure a successful and fair judging process.”
Sport Industry Group chairman, Nick Keller commented: “It is an absolute pleasure to have a respected, global organisation such as EY partner with the BT Sport Industry Awards. The role of the independent adjudicator is absolutely critical to the success of the Awards as it enables us to provide fully audited notes of all judges’ comments and thoughts to ensure total impartiality, as well as enabling a level of feedback to entrants that is unsurpassed.
