Sport Industry Group (SIG) is proud to announce that EY will serve as the Official Adjudicator of the Sport Industry Awards. EY will also be the Presenting Sponsor of the Sport Industry Report 2026 and Official Sponsor of the prestigious Business Moment of the Year award category.
A longstanding supporter of sport, EY has worked with SIG for over 15 years. Most notably, EY has served as the independent adjudicator of the Sport Industry Awards judging process.
Today’s announcement formalises the relationship between the two organisations, with EY continuing in its position as the Awards’ Official Adjudicator, while also expanding the relationship in a new direction, with all activity centred around helping those individuals and organisations within the industry to make better decisions.
In 2025, EY contributed analysis to the inaugural Sport Industry Report, which combined landmark research with commentary and sector-wide insights across five key verticals shaping the future of UK sport. The report forms part of SIG’s wider commitment to celebrate and support the very best organisations, individuals and initiatives in UK sport, providing an annual health check of the sector and a trusted resource for strategic planning in the year ahead.



EY provided expert research and commentary on the macroeconomic climate of the UK sport industry, while over 180 individuals from more than 130 organisations attended the report’s launch event at EY’s offices in London, with 64% of attendees at C-Suite, Director or Head-of level.
The Sport Industry Report will return in 2026 with EY serving as both a Presenting Sponsor of the resource – which once again will be available as a physical handbook delivered to organisations across the country and as a digital download – and as a contributor to the report’s investment section, drawing on the firm’s experience of supporting organisations through economic uncertainty, strategic transformation and international growth.
Additionally, EY’s London office will host an expanded, invite-only launch event in January designed to arm all attendees with the information needed to make better decisions in the year ahead. With multiple rooms hosting content throughout the day, the new format will accommodate a targeted audience of senior decision-makers from across sport, business and politics – enabling deeper discussion, broader networking and more impactful insight.
Finally, following its successful introduction at the Sport Industry Awards 2025, EY has also been announced as the Official Sponsor of the Business Moment of the Year award, a new category introduced to shine a light on the game-changing decisions that have defined the sports industry over the past 12 months.
