F1 And Tata Communications End Eight-year Partnership

Tata Communications and Formula 1 have confirmed that the pair’s eight-year partnership came to an end on 31st December.

The telecommunications company became a Formula 1 partner in 2012 as part of a deal which saw it use and promote its technology as the motorsport series’ Official Connectivity Partner. 

Amit Sinha Roy, VP – Marketing, Tata Communications, said: “Our eight-year F1 journey, spanning 150+ races, was all about driving innovation in the sport. As we had achieved what we set out to do, we feel it’s the right time for us to conclude this marketing partnership.”

“We have decided to bring to a close our marketing partnership with F1 and explore other platforms that will allow us to showcase the full power of our digital services to our key customers.”

Alongside Tata’s deal with F1, the company has also entered into relationships with other F1 partners and teams including broadcasters such as Sky Sports and participants Williams world champions Mercedes.
