Britain’s latest Formula One prospect, Max Chilton, has signed a new endorsement deal with luxury lifestyle clothing brand Belstaff, ahead of this weekend’s Bahrain Grand Prix.

As part of the agreement Chilton, who made his Formula One debut in Australia last month, will now sport the company’s logos on his helmet.

The Marussia driver finished 17th in the Chinese Grand Prix, his third Formula One event, last weekend.

Chilton said: ‘I’m thrilled to be in partnership with Belstaff, which also has such a prestigious history in motorsport.’

Earlier this month the 21-year-old signed with London-based Crown Talent & Media Group, along with Capsicium Grand Prix Ltd, who will represent his management and sponsorship interests, while the Sports PR Company will handle his worldwide public relations needs.

Damian Mould the CMO of Belstaff added: ‘Max is a superb talent at the start of his career, we’re pleased to be joining him at the beginning of his journey in the ultra-competitive world of Formula One. The partnership not only sits in line with our automotive heritage, but aligns us with a young talent at the pinnacle of motor racing, with  Formula One™ a discipline very close to our hearts.’
