The Football Association has announced the appointment of Jon Sellins as its new operations director, joining from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
Sellins will be responsible for the delivery of all venue operations activity across the organisation’s flagship venues – Wembley Stadium connected by EE and St George’s Park – to ensure they both meet The FA’s strategic, operational and financial goals. He will report into Mark Burrows, The FA’s chief financial officer and form part of the senior management team.
At Tottenham Hotspur Sellins has been working as a contractor on the new stadium development, as well as managing the club’s recent matches at Wembley.
An experienced venue and event operator, Sellins previously held senior roles at Earls Court & Olympia, Tough Mudder and the London Olympics where he was head of venue management.
Mark Burrows said: “I am pleased to be welcoming Jon to The FA and back to Wembley Stadium. Jon joins us with a wealth of experience and a distinct track record of success. Jon has a clear objective to lead a team to ensure both Wembley Stadium and St George’s Park strengthen their positions as world class venues.”
Jon Sellins added: “I am delighted to be returning to Wembley in a permanent role. I have a long and happy association with the Stadium and I look forward to ensuring that both Wembley and St George’s Park continue to deliver the very best service to all customers and stakeholders.”
