The Football Association (FA) has appointed Adrian Wells, former brand manager at consumer goods manufacturer Procter & Gamble, as its new head of marketing.
Wells replaces Simon Freedman, who left the organisation in August to take up a role at mobile phone operators O2.??

During his decade at P&G Wells headed a team supporting football promotions for the Pringles brand, including partnerships in support of its UEFA European Football Championship and FIFA World Cup sponsorships.
??One of Wells’ first tasks will be to promote the England national team which has yet to have found a sponsor to replace Nationwide after the building society chose not renew its £20m with the national side in July.
