The FA has hired digital agency Deltatre Media to handle the overhaul and
relaunch of the governing body’s official website, TheFA.com.

The appointment was part of a comprehensive pitch to find a digital agency
with the process led by The FA’s head of marketing, Simon Freedman.

Commented Freedman: ‘TheFA.com is one of the most visited football websites
in the country, recording over 80 million visitors last year, and contains a
huge amount of news and information about all levels of the game. However,
TheFA.com needs to better communicate the organisation’s long term vision across
the football community, while reflecting ongoing technological advances.’

The Deltatre Media team working on The FA account will be led by their MD,
Paul Bristow.

The FA is the latest sports client added to the agency’s portfolio which
already includes managing results and web services for the likes of the FIFA
World Cup, UEFA Champions League and European Football Championships.
