Face Partnership, the cycle sports and entertainment company, has appointed Speed Communications to manage a number of events in its portfolio including the launch of its new urban cycling offer, Parkour Ride.
Speed will also work on further raising the profile of the track cycling competition, Revolution Series.
The agency has been selected to manage integrated media and digital campaigns for both events, with a focus on the first leg of the Revolution Series at the Lee Valley VeloPark.
Set at Tobacco Dock on 4th October, Parkour Ride is a unique festival of urban cycling with the flagship event a race down 11 flights of a car park, which has attracted pro-riders from all sides of the sport including road, BMX and mountain biking.
Alongside this will be street food stalls and a dedicated music floor, which will be supported by visuals, projections and lighting.
The Revolution Series features six rounds across the UK in velodromes in London, Manchester and Glasgow, with the best male and female track riders competing at each.
British Olympic track champion Laura Trott as well as world road race champion Marianne Vos will be taking part in the first leg at the Olympic velodrome on 24-25 October.
James Pope, managing director of Face Partnership said: ‘Parkour Ride is a very exciting venture, being the first event of its kind anywhere in the world. With the extensive experience the team has in both cycling and big events, Speed was the obvious choice to help us make the event famous, and also support our marketing objectives for the already established, Revolution Series.’
Kate Bosomworth, managing director at Speed, commented: ‘At a time when interest in cycling continues to boom, FACE is at the forefront of creating innovative, diverse and exciting events that put a unique spin on the sport.’
