Fanatix, the world’s most popular social network for sports fans, has partnered with Empire of the Kop, the independent social-blog for Liverpool fans, to produce the first club-specific app on their network.

Empire of the Kop is one of the top ‘social destinations’ for Liverpool FC fans with more than 350,000 Twitter followers. Liverpool fans are now able to access Empire of the Kop’s content, as well as all the other Liverpool content and fixtures available on the fanatix platform.

Empire of the Kop is the latest addition to a growing number of sporting entities that have recently joined the fanatix platform including Manchester City FC, ESPN, Paddy Power, William Hill, and, most recently, Tribal Football.

Antoine Zammit, editor of Empire of the Kop, commented: ‘This is great news for Empire of the Kop, as we look to make our content even easier to access for fans. The fanatix platform is almost the perfect fit for us in terms of providing a club-specific app for Liverpool fans worldwide.’

Will Muirhead, founder and CEO of fanatix, said: ‘The partnership with Empire of the Kop is a landmark moment for fanatix, as it marks the first club-specific app on our network. Liverpool FC is one of the best supported sporting franchises in the world, and their fans can now access all their Liverpool content in one place. Empire of the Kop is already one of the go-to destinations for Liverpool fans, and we’re delighted to able to house their outstanding content.’
