The England Rugby World Cup shirt will be officially launched by fans, after Canterbury and England Rugby revealed details of the launch on Monday 6th July.
Fans who sign up through the Canterbury Facebook and Twitter pages will automatically tweet or post the first seen images of the new kit at 8am on launch day, before Canterbury and England Rugby unveil the shirt at Twickenham Stadium later that day.
The initiative forms part of Canterbury’s Committed to the Rose campaign ahead of the Rugby World Cup later this year.
Canterbury CEO, Chris Stephenson, said: “This unique shirt launch continues to demonstrate how the fans are at the heart of our campaign as the nation commits to the rose. We share their passion for rugby and are proud to continue Canterbury’s commitment to the game in an innovative and exciting way.”
Speaking about the relationship between the fans and the national team, England head coach Stuart Lancaster said: “The rose and the shirt unite the players and the fans. You cannot underestimate the power of the nation’s support and commitment and the effect it has on the squad. The players value the relationship they have with the fans and it will be great to have them join us when the new shirt is unveiled in July.”
