Fast Track has won the contract to provide event management and media services
to the Youth Sport Trust for the UK School Games.
The agency was appointed to the three-year contract following a competitive
tender and pitch process. Fast Track had previously handled the inaugural UK
School Games event which took place in Glasgow in early September on an ad hoc
project basis.
Over 1700 athletes, team staff, officials and volunteers were involved in the
first ever UK School Games, which featured athletics, fencing, gymnastics, table
tennis and swimming, plus disability events in athletics and swimming.
Fast Track will start work immediately on the 2007 UK School Games which are
due to take place in Coventry next summer.
The UK School Games was set up to identify upcoming talent with a view to
converting them into medal contenders able to compete at the 2012 Olympics to be
staged in London.
