Stuart Higgins Communications, the PR and strategic communications firm set up by the eponymous former editor of The Sun, has been bought by Fast Track adding a host of football clients to the sports marketing agency’s growing portfolio.
SHC, which will continue to operate as a self-contained entity within the Fast Track offices, significantly beefs up the latter’s football operations.
SHC’s client list includes Camelot, British Airways, Emap, Haymarket Publishing, National Express, Wasserman Media Group, Chelsea Football Club, Reading and Watford football clubs, Storm Model Agency as well as crisis management support for individuals and companies.
The acquisition will allow for considerable scope for collaboration on future projects between the various divisions of the two agencies.
It is envisaged that SHC will join forces with Fast Track at their London offices in February of next year with Stuart Higgins remaining at the head of the agency’s operations.
The financial details of the deal have remained undisclosed.
Fast Track itself was recently bought out by marketing agency network Chime Communications in a multi-million pound merger. Chime boasts global PR specialists Bell Pottinger amongst its considerable network of agencies.
