World number one tennis player Roger Federer has signed a ten-year multi-million pound sponsorship deal with financial services brand Credit Suisse.
As part of the deal, the Swiss bank will make a ‘significant contribution’ to the Roger Federer Foundation, the tennis player’s charity that provides aid and promotes education and sport to disadvantaged children in Africa.
Credit Suisse did not disclose the value of the sponsorship, but it is thought to be in line with Federer’s other endorsements, and potentially worth $2m per year.
Federer will act as a global ambassador for Credit Suisse performing a number of appearances and marketing initiatives for the firm.
Credit Suisse pulled out of its F1 sponsorship earlier this year, citing the desire to focus on more regional events.
