Logistics provider FedEx Express has inked a new deal with UEFA that will cover the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament.

Under the agreement, FedEx Express will serve as the official logistics partner of next year’s competition, building on its partnership with the UEFA Europa League.

In total, the new deal covers eight tournaments, featuring more than 400 matches across 55 countries, and grants FedEx Express in-stadium branding, ticketing and hospitality rights, as well as other activation opportunities.

Aside from Euro 2020, the 2019 and 2021 European qualifiers, Nations League Finals and European Under-21 Championships are all covered by the accord, as well as the Futsal Euro 2022 competition.

As a central part of the new agreement, FedEx Express will help to support the delivery of Euro 2020, which is being staged in 12 host cities across the continent.

“Our commitment to European football is a central part of our community and commercial strategy here in Europe,” said Wouter Roels, Senior Vice-President of International Marketing at FedEx Express.

“Today’s sponsorship announcement is particularly exciting, since being the official logistics partner for UEFA Euro 2020 allows us to actually help deliver the competition across multiple European locations, demonstrating the power of Europe’s premier logistics business, our values and the possibilities we create.”

FedEx Express is already a sponsor of the UEFA Europa League club tournament under a three-year deal announced last September.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, Marketing Director of UEFA Events, added: “FedEx Express have proven over the years as a trusted and valued sponsor of the UEFA Europa League that they have extensive logistics capabilities throughout the continent.”
