Fifty Digital has announced a new structure of its senior leadership team, as well as a number of new hires.

The move will see Co-Founders James Campbell and Nick Jackman continue to lead the agency – which won Young Agency of the Year at the Sport Industry Awards 2020 – with the new senior leadership team reporting directly to them.

Marcus Keith, who joined the agency in 2020, has since taken up the new role of Managing Partner, Client Engagement and Growth. He was previously Head of Client Engagement at VMLY&R and Client Services Director at R/GA and at Fifty Digital, will work across new business and agency growth with a focus on expanding agency services.

The agency has also appointed Juyong Kim as Business Director. Kim joins the business from Publicis Groupe in Amsterdam, where he served as Business Director, leading Heineken Global’s social brand activity across Formula 1 and Formula E, as well as UEFA and World Rugby.

Meanwhile, Client Strategy and Development Director, Sophie Mindell will also join the senior leadership group. She will continue to lead the Client Strategy and Innovation offering, which she has been at the head of since joining in mid-2019.

In addition, Fifty Digital says the senior leadership team will also include a ‘soon-to-be-announced’ Creative Director.

The agency says it has seen ‘increasing demand’ for its services in the last 12 months, leading to a number of new hires across the business, which has seen a 50% increase in staff.

“In the first half of last year, we approached the start of the pandemic with caution, but I don’t think we could have foreseen where we’d be 12 months on from then,” said James Campbell, Co-Founder of Fifty Digital.

“The way the current team has coped with remote working, the challenges faced with these unprecedented times and still being able to deliver award winning work for our clients, is testament to them. The new hires have bolstered this further with hugely promising signs for the future.”

Nick Jackman, Co-Founder of Fifty Digital, added: “It’s strange to think that we still haven’t met (in person) a lot of our new hires, such is the way of the world at the moment. But we are looking forward to a new normal with more flexibility and hopefully a greater balance. We feel the team is the best in the business with exceptional talent across the board.

“To win the pitches and new work we have done in recent times is testament to that and long may it continue. Our new leadership structure will bring experience, talent and drive together to go on to achieve great things.”

The news comes after Qatar Airways appointed Fifty Digital to activate its portfolio of sponsorships. The deal will see the agency work across the brand’s UEFA EURO 2020 and FIFA World Cup 2022 partnerships, as well as those with European football clubs Bayern Munich, PSG and AS Roma.
