The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has announced a global partnership with sports betting data company Sportradar. In the agreement Sportradar will become the exclusive betting and gaming data rights partner for the hockey’s world governing body until the end of the 2029/30 season.
The sports data and technology company will distribute betting data globally from all FIH competitions, including the FIH Hockey World Cups, World Cup Qualifiers, Pro League and more.
The deal includes a bespoke Competition Management platform, which will be used to manage data and tournaments more effectively. The platform is designed to be tailor-made in line with FIH’s rules and regulations to assist in the management of match results, competitions, rankings, player protection and more and will be made available to all continental and national member associations.
Sportradar’s bet monitoring system, Universal Fraud Detection service (UFDS), will also be used to help maintain the integrity of FIH competitions.
Ed Blonk, Sportradar CCO and Regional CEO APAC, said: “Sportradar’s expertise in leveraging the power of sports data will allow us to create bespoke solutions for FIH that will help to elevate the profile of hockey and enable the continued growth of the game. We look forward to collaborating with FIH to create enhanced levels of engagement with hockey fans around the world.”
