First Utility has announced the expansion of its partnership with the Rugby Football League (RFL) by becoming the official partner of the international test series.

The energy supplier is currently the title sponsor of the First Utility Super League and after two years has added the test series to its portfolio.

The three game series begins on 1st November and will see England take on New Zealand in games all over the UK, including the Olympic Stadium in London.

Ed Kamm, chief customer officer, First Utility said: “We’re big fans of rugby league and our first two years of sponsorship have proven to be very successful. By adding our sponsorship of the international tests, we feel truly part of the rugby league community.

“It should be an exciting test series, with the added excitement of playing the sport at the Olympic Stadium for the first time. No doubt we’ll see the drama we now come to expect following another incredible year of First Utility Super League action.”

“Since we kicked off our sponsorship two years ago the sport has really developed with attendance records being consistently broken. In the same time, we’ve become the established challenger to the big six energy companies by offering consistently low prices. We’re delighted to have our brand on both the domestic and international stage and look forward to the series starting.”

Chris Rawlings, RFL commercial director said: “We are delighted First Utility have become a partner for the international test series. Having been title sponsors of the best Super League season ever and partners of the inaugural World Club Series back in February, this is a natural extension of First Utility’s support of rugby league. It promises to be a great series, and we are delighted First Utility are a part of it.’

The 2015 international test series starts on 1st November at the Kingstone Communications Stadium in Hull.
