Fitness First has signed a sponsorship deal with Sure Run to the Beat to become the Official Fitness Partner of the London-based music running event.

Partnering with organisers IMG Challenger World, the health and fitness group comes on board days after the event confirmed its new title sponsor, Sure, in a three-year title sponsorship deal.

After six half-marathon events, hosting 96,000 runners and clocking up over one million miles, this year organisers want to give 10k runners the chance to experience the run, which motivates participants with live music from DJ’s around the route and celebrates with a festival upon runners crossing the finish line.

Sure Run to the Beat will take place on the 14th September where 15,000 participants will make their way around a new 10k course, starting and ending at Wembley Park.

Once finished, participants can join in the party, where previous headline acts have included Jessie J, Calvin Harris, Tinie Tempah and DJ Fresh.

David Jones, UK marketing director at Fitness First commented: ‘At Fitness First, we are proud to be partnering with Sure Run to the Beat, London’s motivating music filled running event. Our members’ dedication to fitness doesn’t stop at the gym door and this partnership allows us to support those committed to the 10k event as part of their fitness journey.’

IMG managing director, James Robinson, added: ‘We are delighted to welcome Fitness First into the Sure Run to the Beat family. Fitness First is a well established and highly regarded brand which has shown innovation in the way it approaches keeping fit. This approach links well to Sure Run to the Beat, an event which prides itself on its unique place in the running market.’
