Flexiseq has announced several new additions to its team of brand ambassadors, with former England prop Jason Leonard, current Northampton Saints and England international Alex Corbisiero and Wales Grand Slam winner Ryan Jones joining England centre Brad Barritt.
Barritt signed with the brand – a drug-free, pain relieving gel used to treat sufferers of osteoarthritis (OA) and joint damage – earlier this year.
Alongside existing arrangements to supply Saracens and Leicester Tigers rugby clubs, Flexiseq will be providing Leonard, Corbisiero and Jones with the product to help them restore joint function and improve mobility on and off the pitch.
Leonard said: ‘I’m delighted to be on board with Flexiseq. Over the course of my career, the physical demands of rugby have certainly had a significant impact on my joints. Although I’m retired from the professional game, using Flexiseq means I can prolong playing for fun, enjoy rounds of golf and carry out everyday activities pain free.’
Nick Baverstock, director of sports at Pro Bono Bio (the nano-physical medical device specialists behind Flexiseq) added: ‘We’re delighted to welcome Jason, Alex and Ryan as Flexiseq brand ambassadors. All three have reached the very top level of their profession and we hope that Flexiseq can not only prolong their careers, but improve their mobility and joint function in everyday life.’
Other new additions to Flexiseq’s line-up of athlete ambassadors include Derby County club captain Shaun Barker, currently working to recover from a long knee injury, and German international ski jumper Ulrike Gräβler, who is the first female sports star to endorse Flexiseq.
