In a follow up to the rioting at last year’s UEFA Cup final in Manchester, police are releasing photographs of 49 men in an effort to trace those allegedly connected to the violent outburst.

The riot occurred after a screen in a fan zone failed to work during the match between Rangers and Zenit St Petersburg. Approximately 150,000 fans took to the streets in Manchester.

Since then, Greater Manchester Police have picked apart the hours of CCTV footage to identify those involved.

In addition to the photos of the 49 men, videos of the rioting will appear on social networking sites YouTube, Facebook and Bebo in an effort to spread the word and clamp down on those responsible for the disturbance.
