TradePoint, the trade arm of home improvement company B&Q, has agreed a new partnership with the Football League – becoming the first ever Official Trade Supplier to the competition.

As part of the deal, TradePoint will offer all 72 Football League teams across the three divisions discounted prices on its range of building and home improvement products via its membership scheme.

Richard Heaselgrave, the Football League’s chief commercial officer, said of the deal: ‘I am delighted to welcome TradePoint to this new partnership with The Football League. It gives each of our clubs the opportunity to save thousands of pounds on the cost of maintaining their stadium or training ground.’

The brand also becomes the title sponsor of the weekly Football League radio show and the league’s Academy Series – a series of seminars aimed at improving the commercial performance of Football League clubs.

TradePoint’s customer and marketing manager Trevor Culpin added: ‘We hope to be able to save their maintenance teams both time and money by giving them access to the 12,000 plus products available through TradePoint, and look forward to developing our partnership in other areas, too.’
