Ford Signs Up As European Rugby Cup Sponsor

Ford has signed up as a sponsor for rugby union’s European Cup club competitions
– the Heineken Cup and the European Challenge Cup – after striking a deal with
organisers European Rugby Cup Limited.

Ford’s new role as a premium partner for the tournaments will showcase the
Ford Ranger pick-up and comes into place for the knock-out stages of the 2006/07
Heineken Cup and European Challenge Cup commencing with the quarter-finals this
weekend, 30th March to 1st April.

Ford Ranger, already broadcast sponsor of Sky Sports’ tournament coverage,
now becomes official vehicle to both European club tournaments.

Fords joins Alice, FedEx and EDF as premium partners to the Heineken Cup, and
FedEx and EDF as partners to the European Challenge Cup.

The 2007 Heineken Cup final will be played at Twickenham Stadium on Sunday
20th May.
