Tottenham Hotspur have appointed former Arsenal executive Vinai Venkatesham as their new Chief Executive Officer.

Announced on Friday 11th April, Venkatesham will take up the role in the summer.

Venkatesham will assume full responsibility for the Premier League club’s operational matters both on and off the pitch. He has had a long-standing professional relationship with Tottenham’s executive chairman, Daniel Levy, and will be expected to work closely with him in shaping the club’s strategic direction.

He has previously held the same position at Arsenal, where he worked for over a decade before departing at the end of the 2023–24 season.

During his tenure at Arsenal, Venkatesham had been involved in key developments including stadium operations, commercial growth, and stakeholder engagement. He has also maintained an active presence within the European Club Association and Premier League governance structures, experience that is likely to continue in his new role at Tottenham.

The appointment has marked a rare instance of a senior executive leading two major Premier League clubs. Other notable examples include Peter Kenyon and Omar Berrada.

Venkatesham’s arrival at Tottenham comes at a time when the club is seeking to build on recent commercial gains, especially as it continues to capitalise on the club’s 62,850-seater home ground.

In addition to his football career, Venkatesham has worked on large-scale sporting events including the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Venkatesham, commented, “I’m excited to be joining Tottenham Hotspur this summer. After taking some time to recharge and evaluate my options, I believe this is an exceptional opportunity to work with Daniel, the Board and all of the staff, to take the club forward.”
