Formula E has inked a new broadcast rights partnership with ITV for the 2024/25 season.

The deal sees Formula E return to free-to-air (FTA) television in the UK, after coverage of the 2023/24 campaign was available exclusively on TNT Sports.

The racing championship previously aired on fellow FTA broadcaster Channel 4.

Under the new agreement, the commercial network will air all 16 E-Prix races and qualifying sessions from the all-electric single-seater racing series.

All events will be broadcast on the ITVX streaming platform, with the ITV4 linear channel also set to provide live coverage of nine races in the upcoming campaign.

The deal also sees the launch of a new highlights programme, which will be accessible on ITV4 and ITVX.

Formula E has announced its latest partnership ahead of its 11th season, which commences on 7th December with the Sao Paulo E-Prix.

“With our new post-race weekend highlights show on ITV, fans will be able to get bespoke content directly from the paddock helping educate, excite and entertain new and loyal fans alike,” said Aarti Dabas, Chief Media Officer at Formula E.

“We can’t wait to bring our fans more track-side action and continue to grow the sport.”

Richard Botchway, Assistant Commissioner at ITV Sport, added, “This new deal brings Formula E fans some of the biggest races across Season 11 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

“We are delighted to be the free-to-air partner and look forward to welcoming Formula E to ITV and ITVX.”
