Formula E partners with Google Cloud in multi-year deal

Formula E has entered a multi-year partnership with Google Cloud, which will serve as its technology services partner and security partner.

The collaboration will focus on advancing driver performance, fan engagement, and cybersecurity for the all-electric racing championship.

Google Cloud’s generative AI technologies, including Vertex AI and Gemini models, will be used to deliver personalised driver performance insights and real-time feedback.

These tools will help improve driver skills, supporting racing strategies, and enhancing access to top-tier coaching.

For fans, Google Cloud’s data platform, BigQuery, will integrate with Formula E’s CRM systems to create hyper-personalised experiences and provide race predictions for TV broadcasts. Fans will also gain access to a wider range of data, including video, car telemetry, and social media insights.

The partnership includes enhanced cybersecurity measures, with Google Cloud delivering threat intelligence, incident response, and security operations to safeguard the championship’s data and systems.

Formula E and Google Cloud will additionally continue collaborating on the Genbeta project, furthering innovation in safety, performance, and sustainability within motorsport.

The 2025/26 Formula E season starts on Friday, 10th January at the Mexico City ePrix.
