Formula E has signed a new multi-year agreement with the FIA for the continued promotion of the championship and exclusivity within the all-electric single-seater category.
The additional ten-year agreement – which will see the series continue until at least 2048 – has been finalised ahead of the upcoming London E-Prix on 26th and 27th July, which will conclude the 2024/25 season.
Launched in 2014 and awarded World Championship status in 2020, the Liberty Global-owned championship has established itself as the leading platform for electric racing, with major manufacturers such as Jaguar, Porsche, Nissan, and Maserati participating.

According to an official release, the long-term agreement with the FIA aligns with both organisations’ commitments to sustainability, innovation, and expanding global access to motorsport.

“This milestone reaffirms our ommitment to innovation, sustainability, and technological progress, which are all central to the Championship’s unique identity and purpose. It also aligns with our broader goal of increasing global participation and driving more accessible motorsport for all. We are delighted to be continuing this journey with Formula E, and I look forward to seeing it grow even further, both on and off the track, in the years to come.”
Jeff Dodds, CEO at Formula E, added, “Formula E’s growth since its inception has been nothing short of extraordinary, with hundreds of millions of fans and world-class teams and drivers deciding to choose highly competitive electric racing. This long-term extension of the
