The Grass Roots Football Show, which takes place between 3rd-5th June, has announced football freestyler Billy Wingrove as a show ambassador.

Wingrove will show off his skills and take a number of freestyle master classes at the three day event, at the NEC in Birmingham.

The Billy Wingrove Soccer Hub will be one of the features in the ‘skill zone’ at the show.

Wingrove, who has worked with players such as Fernando Torres and Lionel Messi in the past, said: ‘Skill and technique play an important part of development whatever the level of football you play’.

‘There is nothing better than seeing the look on a young players face when he masters a new skill and I get a real buzz when I am free styling in front of so many football enthusiasts’.

Joanna Burns, director of The Grass Roots Football Show, said: ‘He [Wingrove] embodies everything that we want to bring to the show this year with more skills, more coaching sessions, more tactics, more interaction and more of the biggest stars in the game’.

Wingrove will be joined by show ambassador Robbie Savage – as well as Chris Coleman and Peter Taylor in hosting a coaching mater class and football seminars through the weekend.
