The London leg of the World Tennis Day Showdown, which is taking place at Earls Court on 3rd March 2014, will be presented by its new sponsor, The Financial Times.
The event is one of a four-part series with editions in London, New York, Hong Kong and Bangkok and will see some of the legends of the game, including Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, Ivan Lendl and Pat Cash take to the court.
The showdown is organised by StarGames, the sports marketing firm, in association with the International Tennis Federation (ITF). The Financial Times will become the official business publication of the series and a worldwide sponsor of World Tennis Day.
President and chief executive of StarGames, Jerry Solomon, said: ‘We are very happy to have the Financial Times join us as presenting sponsor for the World Tennis Day Showdown while also activating in our other three markets. I think it speaks to the calibre of the Showdown to have a prestigious publication like the Financial Times associated with the event. We look forward to working with the Financial Times in the coming months leading up to World Tennis Day.’
